Meeting

Library closed. We cannot meet at the fountain. What do you think of meeting next Thursday?

*sigh* Yeah, sure. I hope you know this is all completely ridiculous. I don't see how that could have escaped your attention, but I thought I'd bring it up.

What's ridiculous? The library being closed?

I thought closing was a good call. It smelled bad in there. People were concerned about their health and the administration acted on it. The former administration probably would have left us in there breathing bad air.

Just the whole thing! In context, the library being closed is a good idea, but the reason it *needs* to be closed is silly and has gone on too long! Can't something be *done* about the paint fumes instead of just waiting for them to go away? Fans, anything?

And why can't we meet at the fountain? What's the objection?

Well, I agree with you on it being ridiculous that this situation was allowed to materialize. Balls were dropped. Responsibility was avoided.

As far as meeting at the fountain, the library is closed and that includes programming. I am sure there is some convoluted legal reason why.

Next Thursday sounds good.

Lucky me - I would have had to have been late to the meeting yesterday anyways.

Yeah, I thought that a bit too, Mitchell. How long can paint fumes really stick around, at least to that apparently staggering extent?

Yes, there is no reason next Thursday would not work. Maybe I'll have something other than Discworld fanfiction written. :P

Okay, looks like I'll have to be late to the meeting this Thursday anyways.

Why does it seem like my schedule is always out to get me?
